Emergence Dance Tour
Here's a glimpse of my latest photography work for "Emergence" and their dance tour. This is my most recent dance performance photography, and I’m proud to say these are my best photos in this genre yet. Capturing the energy and artistry of their performances was an incredible experience!Â
UOS Basketball
Here is a selection of photos from being sports photographer for the University of Salford basketball team. This was as part of a group production documenting the event, filming it, conducting interviews and ofcourse photographing.
I shot with a tight 70mm-200mm zoom lense to be able to get pictures that felt close and personal, right in the action. I under exposed in the camera, bringing it back up in the edit. This was to keep in line with the grainy style the social media manager wanted.

UOS Dance Society Performances
Here is a small sample of photos I took for the UOS Dance Societes' dance shows over multiple years. I was the sole photographer for these events, able to take these photos during rehearsals.
This shoot really was a challenge for me. The lighting varied drastically during the performances and I was often shooting in low light conditions (not ideal when you have a crop sensored camera). The society was pleased with the results and it has proven to be a useful learning experience!
UOS Cheer
Here is a selection of photos from when I photographer a UOS cheerleading event
I shot with a variety of lenses including a 35mm, a 50mm and a tight 70mm-200mm zoom lens. This allowed for a range of shots at a range of distances and sizes to capture as much as the action as possible, moments both big and small.

Contemporary Dance Festival
Here's a glimpse of the photos I took for the university's contemporary dance festival, featuring students from the BA Dance course. I was the sole photographer for this event, capturing moments during the actual performance on the day, shooting from above the crowd. The festival organizers were happy with the results, and it turned out to be a valuable learning experience for me, improving my work in low light conditions.
